Thing I like most about shooting:  How humbling it is shooting at distances

Competitions:  I’ve won a couple of our local matches, several F-class matches, 9th place at Reade Range, 11th Place at RO 308 only match, 13th place at Norcal and several top placements in 3 gun, IDPA and USPSA.

Favorite Rifle: Remington 700, MIA, POF 308 and POF 223.

Things I most like about shooting:  The Challenges I put myself and my equipment through.  The good times shooting with new people and shooting in new places.  Learning from others in the sports I shoot in.

Competitions:  1st place in 2009 and 2010 TPRC RO match.  3rd place in the 2011 Tactical Bolt Rifle Challenge, 7th place in the 2011 Score High Precision Rifle Challenge, Top Law Enforcement officer in all of these matches.  1st place in the SMM3gun in heavy metal scoped class.  Also numerous top 10 and better finishes over the past 25 years.

Favorite Rifle: My Stiller Tac-30 in a Manners T4A stock with custom daisy-flage paint job by Phantom Finishing topped off with my US Optics SN-3

First Rifle:  Remington 700 in .223 my husband bought me after I said “I would like to try shooting in a match”.

Time in the Sport:  I started shooting in November 2009.

Things I like most about shooting:  How much fun it is!

What got me into shooting:  I was an observer at the Tactical Precision Rifle Challenge in 2009.  I was amazed that the competitors were able to hit a target that seemed, to me at the time, to be an impossibly far distance from where they were shooting.  I was hooked after the first time I pulled the trigger.

Competitions:  I’ve won a few times in Phoenix and Las Vegas and I’ve consistantly been in the top 10 for the last year in local matches.  I was 18th and top female in New Mexico at Score High Tactical Rifle Challenge. I was 28th and the only female shooter at the Tactical Bolt Rifle Challenge in Sacramento.

Favorite Caliber: 6XC and 308

Favorite Rifle: Savage 308 and my Specialized Dynamics AR15

Things I most like about shooting:  The comraderie and the challenge. I enjoy learning new things, challenging my boundries and meeting new shooters.

Competitions:  Score High Tactical match I finished 21st.  Tactical Bolt rifle Challenge I finished 44th overall and 3rd in the 308 class.  I also finished 25th in Rocky Mountain 3 gun in the heavy metal scoped class.  24th in the O.T.S battle in the canyons in Oklahoma this past August.

Favorite Rifle: Surgeon action chambered in .260  

Things I most like about shooting:  The challenging factor.

Competitions:  1st place numerous times in our local matches.  Just starting to focus on National level matches.

 

 

Name: Steve Eacret  

Location: Gilbert, AZ  

Occupation:  Equipment Operator 

Shooting Sports: Precision Rifle, Service rifle, High power and Smallbore rifle silhouette 

Favorite Caliber: 6.5 creedmoor or 6XC depending on conditions 

Favorite Rifle: Surgeon 591 action with a Bartlein 5R chambered 6XC nestled in a Manners T2A with their mini chasis system.  US Optics SN3 is my choice of scope on top of this gun. 

Things I most like about shooting:  Developing a skillset that allows me to put accurate fire downrange regardless of the position or challenge.  Plus there is a lot of great people locally and Nationally. 

Competitions:  I’ve shot our local LRPRS matches almost religiously since the inception, usually placing top 5 within the past two years.  I also shot the Tactical Bolt Rifle Challenge in 2008 and the Sin City Precision Rifle Challenge in 2009(12th place), the Utah State Sniper Challenge, 12th place and top gas gun.  This year I shot in the Score High Tactical Challenge and the OTS battle in the canyons where I came in the top 20.
